Well how do I consign? Go on-line and order a kit (you're already at the right site). Once you receive your kit in the mail, fill your bag with clothing. When your bag is full and you are ready to consign, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can set up a time to get your clothing from you.
What does the registration fee cover? The registration fee covers postage & online posting fees to post and ship items to buyers.
How do I get my bag of clothes to you? Once your bag is ready, please email us at email@example.com and we will set up a time to meet or pick up your items at your home free of charge. (Home pick up is only available in Jackson, TN).
What are the percentages and how long will it take for me to get my check? Simple Consignments will give you 50% of what sells and we will keep 50%. We will sell your items over a 60 day period and you will receive a check in the mail within 70 days. This allows most of your items to sell as much as possible. If you're items sell quickly we will mail you check sooner.
Will I be able to see what items sold? Yes, you will receive a print out of your items with your check.
What brands will you accept? We consign boutique and name brand clothing. (We will also accept shoes in very good to excellent condition). Below is a list but not limited to brands that sell well online: Anavini, Beaux Et Belles, Castles & Crowns, Cheeky Plum, Classic Whimsy, Crewcuts, Hanna Andersson, Janie & Jack, Jelly the Pug, Kelly’s Kids, Lemon Loves Lime, Little English, Lolly Wolly Doodle, Marmellta, Matilda Jane, Mayoral, Mustard Pie, Olive Juice, Persnickety, Pervenche, Petit Ami, Ralph Lauren, Remember Nguyen, Rosalina, Silly Goose, Smocked Auctions, Southern Sunshine, Stelly Belly, Strasburg, Sweet Honey, Tea Collection, Vineyard Vines, Vive La Fete, and Will Beth.
What if I have clothes that are not name brand or Boutique? Since we only sell online and we're trying to maximize your return, we are not accepting items such as everyday wear or play clothes. These would include most mall brands such as Garanimals, Genuine Kids, Carters, Children’s Place, and Justice. If you want to include these brands in your items so you are still able to clean out your closets, what we are not able to sell we will make sure they get to families who need them most (see question below).
What do you do with items that do not sell? We have decided to share items first with Tennessee Foster Care families who need clothes for new littles ones who come in and out of their homes. Second, we will share with non-profits who have the greatest need for children’s and maternity clothes. If you are a foster parent (or know one) in need of certain sized children’s clothing, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do you decide what to price my items? We compare and research other used clothing brands/items and price based on the demand and market. Selling online allows us to sell either at a fixed rate or possibly more through an auction type listing.
Can I get back my items that do not sell? Because of our partnerships with local charities supporting parents and children in need, we do not offer a return service of unsold items. We carefully select local organizations whose needs align with our remaining resources to create partnerships that benefit our consignors and those in need within the Jackson area community. In the past we have given items to Birth Choice, RIFA, Baby University and overseas missions. We try to be very intentional with making sure our unsold items get into the hands of those who may need it the most.
How do I choose a kit? The laundry bags that will be mailed to your home are 30 gallon laundry bags. However, it is important that you do not fill them to the very top or they may tear. These bags hold approximately a very large plastic tote or two small plastic totes, around the size of a 25 gallon tote depending on what you put in the bag.
